C. P. Tevis, serving 10 years at San Quentin for burglary committed in Stanislaus county, committed suicide Sunday by hanging himself with a towel in his cell. Tevis was wanted in Huntsville, Texas, for second degree murder and undoubtedly would have been extradited upon his release. He was 55 years of age.
