DOROTHY ZARRAONANDIA
A memorial service for Dorothy A. Zarraonandia of San Rafael will be held Monday at 7 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in San Rafael.
Mrs. Zarraonandia, 51, died Thursday after a long illness.
She was born in New York and grew up in Evanston, Ill. She studied at Northwestern University’s School of Music and was an accomplished pianist.
At one time she taught music in Florida before she moved to California bout 20 years ago. She lived in Southern California before coming to Marin about eight years ago.
Mrs. Zarraonandia was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha at Northwestern. She belonged to St. Paul’s Church since coming to Marin.
Surviving are her husband, Thomas Zarraonandia; two daughters, Anne and Caroline Zarraonandia; three sons, Donald Acton, Thomas Emmet and Michael Jeffrey Zarraonandia, all of the family home in San Rafael; and her mother, Blanca Acton of Thousand Oaks.
The family prefers memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
