JOHN FARRIS MAY

San Rafael – John Farris May, 41, of San Rafael, was found dead Saturday afternoon aboard a boat on which he was staying at the Marin Yacht Club.

May evidently died of natural causes, the coroner’s office reported.

He is survived by a brother, Bill May of Bremerton, Wash.

Arrangements were pending at Monte’s Mission Chapel, San Rafael.

JOHN F. MAY

Sam Rafael – A funeral service for John F. May of San Rafael, a Marin resident for more than 25 years, will be held at the Rest Haven mortuary in Wichita, Kan.

May died aboard a boat in San Rafael Saturday. He was 41.

He was born in San Pedro, Los Angeles County, and lived for several years in Humboldt County. He moved with his family to Marin in 1954.

May worked as an auto mechanic for many years in Marin. He served with the National Guard.

He is survived by his mother, Mamie C. May of Wichita; four brothers, Bill and Sam May, both of Washington state, Ross May of Wichita and Jim May of Manhattan Beach; and a sister, Martha Robinder of Pennsylvania.
