PATRICK J. O’SHEA

A Catholic blessing service for Patrick Joseph O’Shea, a former Larkspur resident, will be held Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Lafferty and Smith Colonial Chapel, Santa Rosa.

O’Shea died Sunday at a local convalescent hospital after a short illness. He was 88.

A native of Ireland, O’Shea came to the United States 70 years ago, settling in San Francisco. He had served 35 years with the San Francisco Police Department.

After his retirement in 1955, O’Shea moved to Larkspur. He lived there until two years ago when he entered a convalescent hospital in Petaluma.

O’Shea was a member of the Knights of Columbus of San Francisco and the Widows and Orphans Association of the San Francisco Police Department.

He is survived by a brother, Arthur O’Shea of Boston, Mass.

Private burial will be at Santa Rosa Memorial Park.
