HAROLD C. STOCKTON

A funeral for Harold C. Stockton of Petaluma, a retired construction company owner, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Church of Christ of Petaluma.

Mr. Stockton died unexpectedly Monday at Sierra Memorial Hospital in Grass Valley where he had been visiting. He was 79.

He was born in Shelbyville, Ill. He served in the Navy from 1923 to 1927. After his discharge, he worked on construction projects overseas.

Mr. Stockton moved to Moses Lake, Wash., in 1948 where he continued working in construction, eventually founding the S & M Construction Co.

He moved to Petaluma in 1974 after his retirement. He was a member of the Church of Christ of Petaluma.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel L. Stockton of Petaluma; two daughters, Mara G. Hansen of Moses Lake, Wash., and Frances D. Lemon of San Antonio, Texas; three stepsons, Bill Eddy of Fort Worth, Tex., Jim Eddy of Portland, Ore. and Dave Eddy of Petaluma; a stepdaughter, Jeanette Holder of Petaluma; three sisters, Edna Burgess of Grass Valley, Pauline Moike of Hilo, Hawaii and Gladys Kimbro of Tiller, Ark.; three brothers, Dale Stockton, Russell Stockton and Jesse Stockton, all of Arkansas; and three grandchildren.

Friends may call today at the Parent-Sorensen Mortuary in Petaluma and until noon on Friday. Burial will be Monday at Pioneer Gardens Cemetery in Moses Lake, Wash.

The family prefers that contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
