MARY E. GRIMM

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mary Elizabeth Grimm, a native of San Rafael and well-known educator, Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Raphael’s Church.

Miss Grimm, 62, died Sunday morning in a San Francisco hospital after a traffic accident.

A member of an old San Rafael family, Miss Grimm was a graduate of San Francisco State College. She also did graduate work at Dominican College in San Rafael, the University of Hawaii and the San Francisco College of W omen.

She was a teacher, principal and administrative assistant in the Mill Valley School District from1942 to 1974. She also taught at San Quentin from 1939 to 1942.

After retiring, she worked as an editorial assistant at Western Banker magazine in San Francisco.

Miss Grimm is survived by her mother, Marie C. Grimm, and her brother, Edward H. Grimm Jr., both of San Rafael.

The rosary will be recited at 8 tonight at St. Raphael’s.

The family prefers memorial contributions to your favorite charity.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that she was the daughter of the late Edward H. Grimm Sr., and aunt of Martha and Scott Grimm.
