RITA L. BALDWIN
Rita L. Baldwin, 68, of Novato, a retired school teacher, died Monday at a local hospital after a long illness.
Mrs. Baldwin was head of the language department in Avondale High School in Georgia when she retired two years ago.
She was the widow of Lt. Col. James J. Baldwin.
Mrs. Baldwin had been a resident of Novato for two years. She was a native of Knoxville, Tenn.
Surviving are two daughters, Lilybeth Kuczynski of Novato and Rose L. Cowan of Georgia; and seven grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony’s Church, Novato. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery, San Rafael. Rosary will be recited at 4:30 p.m. today at Keaton’s Chapel of Marin, Novato. The family prefers that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Marin, 77 Mark Drive, Suite No. 6, San Rafael, Calif. 94903.
