FRANK A. FLYNN
A graveside service for Frank A. Flynn of San Rafael, father of Robert F. Flynn of Larkspur, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Mount Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael.
Flynn died Saturday in a local convalescent home; he was 83.
Flynn was an aviation pioneer, flying in World War I with both the Royal Air Force and U.S. Army Air Corps. He was a founder of Pacific Air Transport, a forerunner of United Air Lines and was the first manager of what now is San Francisco International Airport. He also was for many years an attorney in his native San Francisco.
He also is survived by a sister, Edith Flynn, and four grandchildren.

A Death Notice in the same paper says he was the husband of the late Ida R. Flynn, and the grandfather of James Ruse, Peggy Ruse, Jaine Haley and Tony Hansen.
