LIVERIA S. DITTMAN
Liveria S. Dittman of Napa, a native of Marin and a daughter of a longtime Marin couple, died Thursday at her home following a lengthy illness. She was 76.
Mrs. Dittman was the daughter of Dr. Fred and Georgia Sawyer, a couple who moved to Marin in 1895.
She attended schools in San Francisco and then returned to Marin to attend Dominican College. She was a teacher for about 25 years, most of that time in Marin.
She moved to Napa in 1967 after retiring.
She was married to William J. Dittman of Napa.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a brother, Wilbur Sawyer Sr. of Santa Rosa.
At her request, no services will be held.
The family prefers memorial donations to the Napa Valley Hospice, Angwin, Calif. 94508.
Inurnment will be private at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael.
