SARAH J. CHASE
A memorial service for Sarah J. Chase of Kentfield, a Marin resident for 23 years, will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Ross.
Mrs. Chase died unexpectedly Tuesday at a local hospital. She was 49.
Mrs. Chase was a native of New York. She was born on Long Island and spent many years in Connecticut. She attended Masters School in Dobbs Ferry and the Sarah Lawrence School.
She was a member of the Lagunitas Country Club. Mrs. Chase also was active in the Ross Homeowners Association and was an officer of that group.
She and her husband, Martin Chase, moved to Marin in 1957 and lived for 15 years in Ross before moving to Kentfield.
She was the sister-in-law of Ross mayor, John Chase.
Surviving besides her husband are her two sons, Nicholas S. Chase of Oregon and Timothy C. Chase of Kentfield, and a sister, Jane J. White of Massachusetts.
The family prefers memorial donations to a favorite charity.
