HAZEL A. SHERA

A service for Hazel A. Shera, a native of San Rafael and resident of Marin for many years, has been held in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Mrs. Shera died April 11 in Honolulu in a traffic accident. She was 72.

She was born in San Rafael and graduated from San Rafael High School.

She worked for many years at the Rafael Theater in San Rafael. She also worked for 20 years for the state as an accountant clerk at San Quentin.

She was a member of the California State Teachers Association and the First Presbyterian Church in San Rafael.

She moved to Hawaii several years ago with her husband, Ralph A. Shera. He died in 1978.

She is survived by her son, Hugh Shera of Gresham, Ore.; a sister, Mildred Flavey of Greenbrae; and three grandchildren.

The family prefers memorial donations to the First Presbyterian Church of San Rafael or the Barlow Hospital Guild Inc., 2000 Stadium Way, Los Angeles 90026.
