Sudden Death Comes To Mrs. Ruth Burns

As sad as it was sudden, the death of Mrs. Ruth Edith Burns last Saturday night was a severe shock to her many relatives and a countless number of friends.

Death came a few hours after the birth of a child and was due to an attack of acute indigestion.

Mrs. Burns was the wife of Francis C. Burns, the widely known florist, and numbered in her friends here by the scope of her acquaintances. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. Kohlhoff, she was born in San Rafael and had lived here all her life of 27 years.

The little baby was spared. There are two other little children, Francis Jr. and Earl.

The sympathy of the entire community is extended to the sorrowing husband in this bereavement which has taken from him his life mate and the mother of three little ones.

Also surviving the deceased are Ethel and William Kohlhoff, a brother and sister.

The funeral services were held Tuesday at the Stephen Eden Parlors, where a large number of friends gathered to pay their last homage to the memory of a loving character who had endeared herself to them in countless ways. The interment was private.
