MARIO F. ARBINI
Mario F. Arbini, a native of Marin and former owner of the Old Timer Saloon in Fairfax, died yesterday at a local hospital after a brief illness. He was 72.
Arbini was born in San Anselmo after his parents emigrated from Italy in the 19th century. He worked as a machinist, then spent more than 20 years as a merchant seaman before taking over the tavern and running it for 23 years with his sister, Becky Soldavini. They retired two years ago.
He is survived by a son, Morris Arbini of Fort Collins, Colo.; a stepdaughter, Diane Perry of Los Angeles; four sisters, Josephine Segale, Julia Tartaul and Mrs. Soldavini, all of San Anselmo, and Lillian Perry of Modesto; and seven grandchildren.
Friends may call at Chapel of the Hills, San Anselmo, tonight from 6 to 9 o’clock. Private services will be held tomorrow, with entombment to follow at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that he was the husband of Betty Arbini.
