ALAN A. SIMON
A funeral for Alan A. Simon of San Rafael was held Sunday at the Chapel of Hills of Eternity Memorial Park in Colma. Simon, 71, died Friday at a local hospital after a long illness.
Simon was in the food and wholesale liquor business with Simon Brothers grocers n San Francisco until he retired nine years ago. He was born and lived in San Francisco until he moved to Marin County.
He was a member of the Masada Club of Marin County and also a longtime member of the San Francisco Elks Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Jeannette Simon of San Rafael; his mother, Stella Simon of San Francisco; two sons, Leland and Kenneth Simon, who live in Southern California; one sister, Joan Shemanski of Beverly Hills; and two brothers, Lucien and Stephen Simon of San Francisco.
The family prefers memorial contributions to a favorite charity.
