Pioneer Rancher Dies At Home in Ross
Manuel Silveira, well known and prosperous resident of Ross, passed away at his home there last Friday after a long illness due to a complication of ailments. He was 72 years of age. For many yeas he had been a rancher, but for some time had been retired.
The funeral service was held Monday at St. Anselm’s church, where a requiem high mass was celebrated. Interment was made in Mount Olivet cemetery.
He is survived by his widow, Katherine Silveira, and a son and daughter, Margaret Anna and John M. Silveira.
