HERB CAPLEY
Herb Capley of Sausalito, a Marin resident for more than 50 years, died Monday in a local convalescent hospital following a lengthy illness. He was 75.
Capley was born in Tennessee. He served in the Navy as a young man and then settled in Marin in about 1925.
He was a house painter and worked mostly in Marin. He was retired after working as a painter for about 40 years.
He is survived by two sons, Herb Capley Jr. of Santa Rosa and John Capley of Fairfax; a brother, Elmer Capley of Baltimore, Md.; a sister, Ann Byron of Florida; and three grandchildren.
No services are planned. The family requests memorial donations to the United Cancer Fund.
