CHARLES W. CARROLL

Charles W. Carroll of Novato, a retired Army sergeant, died Monday at Letterman General Hospital in the Presidio of San Francisco.

At his request no funeral services will be held.

He was a Life Master in the American Contract Bridge League.

Surviving are his wife, Hazelle Carroll of Novato, and two sisters, Myrtle Sloan and Minnie McKray.

CHARLES W. CARROLL

At his request no funeral service was held for Charles W. Carroll of Novato, a retired Army sergeant.

Carroll died Monday at Letterman General Hospital in the Presidio of San Francisco after a long illness.

Carroll retired from the Army in the middle 1950s and then worked as a civilian in the post engineer department at the Presidio until he retired in 1968.

He served in the United States during World War II and after the war in the occupation army in Japan.

He was a native of Boulder, Colo.

Carroll was a Life Master of the American Contract Bridge League.

Surviving are his wife, Hazelle Carroll of Novato and two sisters, Myrtle Sloan of Denver and Minnie McKray of Redding, Shasta County.
