FRANK L. KNOUSE
Corte Madera resident
Frank L. Knouse of Corte Madera, a former U.S. Marine who was at Pearl Harbor when it was attacked, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 1991, at Marin General Hospital after a long illness. He was 71.
After Pearl Harbor, Mr. Knouse went on to serve in New Zealand, New Caledonia and the Solomon Islands. He was in the U.S. Marine Corps for six years.
Mr. Knouse, a native of Iowa, was a member of Teamsters Union Local No. 85 and the Golden Gater Club.
He is survived by his wife, Marion Knouse of Corte Madera; a son, Daniel Knouse of Sacramento; and a brother, Charles Knouse of Story City, Iowa.
A memorial service is set for 1 p.m. Sturday at the chapel of Daphne Funerals Marin, Corte Madera. Burial is private.
