FRANCES A. WANDTKE
A private funeral service for Frances A. Wandtke of Sonoma, a former Marin resident for more than 40 years, was held Saturday.
Mrs. Wandtke died Saturday in a Marin convalescent hospital following a lengthy illness. She moved to the hospital a couple of months ago. She was 87.
She was born in San Francisco and moved to Marin in 1926. She and her husband, Gustav J. Wandtke, lived in Marin until 1970 when they moved to Paradise, Butte County. They moved to Sonoma County four years later.
Wandtke died several years ago. He was a port captain for a large fishing fleet for many years.
Mrs. Wandtke was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Mill Valley chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, No. 219, the Blithedale Rebecca Lodge No. 305 and Sisters of Hiram in Sonoma.
She is survived by a daughter, Dianne Riley of San Anselmo; two sisters, Helena Denner of Santa Rosa and Louise Urlocker of New York; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family prefers memorial donations to the Masonic Homes Endowment Fund or the Shriner’s Hospital for Crippled Children in San Francisco.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that she was the grandmother of Sally McLellan of San Rafael, William K. McLellan Jr. of San Luis Obispo and the late Sandra Corbin, and great-grandmother of Erica and Wendy Corbin of Santa Rosa.
