RUTH M. LAND

A memorial service for Ruth M. Land, a Larkspur artist, is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Monday at Temple Rodef Shalom in Terra Linda.

Mrs. Land, 63, died Saturday at a local hospital after a long illness.

She was born in Toronto. She moved to San Francisco in 1946 and to Marin in 1956. She was a painter, working primarily in oil and charcoal. She specialized in portraits. She was an active member of Hadassah and of Cancerport.

Her husband, Joseph, died in 1961.

She is survived by three children, Judi, Jeff and Andy Land, all of Larkspur; and one grandson.

Her ashes will be scattered over Mount Tamalpais.

The family prefers memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
