Mrs. Emma Clyne Takes Own Life

Mrs. Emma Clyne, during a fit of temporary insanity committed suicide at her Mount vireo home Monday of last week by shooting herself through the head with a revolver. Her husband was in the room at the time but had his back turned and knew nothing of her intentions or act until he heard the report of the pistol and saw her lifeless form on the bed. The dead woman has been ill for months past and labored under the belief that she would never get well.

The Clynes moved to Mount View (sic) some two years ago. The husband is a well known life insurance man. Both were popular in the neighborhood where they have many friends.

At the time the late Edwin Stephens killed his five children his wife and himself, Mrs. Clyne was one of the first to render assistance to the mortally wounded little ones. Though a young and frail woman she entered the blood-soaked house with the doctors and did all in her power for the unfortunates.
