JOHN H. RITTER
A funeral for John H. Ritter, a retied trucking executive from Mill Valley, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Russell and Gooch Funeral Chapel, Mill Valley.
Ritter, 77, died Tuesday in a local hospital after a long illness.
He was born in Utah.
He worked for 31 years in the trucking industry. When he retired in 1967, h e was vice president of Pacific Motor Trucking in San Francisco. He was an honorary life member of the San Francisco Flycasting Club and the Society of Automotive Engineers.
His wife, Barbara, died in November.
He is survived by a brother, Russell B. Ritter of Citrus Heights, Sacramento County, and a sister, Minnie M. Halbert of Corona, Riverside County.
Burial will be in Mount Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael. Visitation will be held after 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that he was the uncle of Willis W. Ritter Jr. of Sunnyvale, Ruth M. McNeal of Vista, Helen M. Miller of Whittier and John R. Ritter of Salt Lake City, Utah.
