LEE K. WHITTLES

Lee Kinkaid Whittles, 57, of Tiburon was found dead at his home Wednesday afternoon, according to the Marin County coroner.

He had a history of heart problems.

Funeral arrangements are pending at Russell & Gooch Funeral Chapel in Mill Valley.

LEE K. WHITTLES

At his request, no funeral services will be held for Lee K. Whittles, 57, of Tiburon.

He died Thursday at his home.

A native of Glastonbury, Conn., he was a longtime Marin resident and had lived in Tiburon for 10 years.

He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1948. He served in the Air Corps for three years during World War II and was in the Air Force reserves for 10 years.

He started his career in New York in 1949 with W.R. Grace Lines in passenger sales and then became the sales manager for Pan American Grace Airways’ Panama office in 1950.

In 1955, he joined Foster Kleiser Outdoor Advertising Co. in San Francisco as an account executive.

He rose to national sales and account supervisor in Chicago and New York, returning to California in 1963 to join Eller Outdoor Advertising. He became president of the firn’s California division in 1974.

In 1975, he formed his own advertising company, Operation Whittles.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Whittles of Mill Valley; and two sons, Karl Whittles of San Rafael and Craig Whittles
