CATHERINE AVERILL
A memorial service for Catherine Averill, 59, of Mill Valley will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Mountain Theater on Mount Tamalpais.
She died on Tuesday at a local hospital after a long illness.
A native of New York, she moved to Colma in 1946 and then to Mill Valley shortly after.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Averill is survived by her husband, Alfred A. Averill of Mill Valley; three daughters, Sharie Scribner of Penngrove, Jamie Averill of Dorrington, Calaveras County, and Angela Averill of Mill Valley; two sons, Christopher Averill of Salem, Ore., and Bruce Averill of San Rafael; a brother, Homer Greene of Novato; and three grandchildren.
The family prefers memorial gifts to Hospice of Marin, 77 Mark Drive, Suite No. 6, San Rafael 94903.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that arrangements were by Russell & Gooch, Mill Valley.
An announcement of her death appeared in the May 14th paper which stated that her death took place in Kaiser hospital.
