THOMAS E. COLE
A Mass of Christian Burial for Thomas E. Cole of San Rafael will be said Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ukiah.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at the Blessed Sacrament Church in San Rafael.
Cole died Saturday in a local hospital following a short illness. He was 56.
A native of Missouri, Cole moved to Marin County 18 years ago. He had previously lived in San Anselmo during the 1940s.
A merchant seaman for 28 years, Cole worked on the Standard Oil relief crew at the Richmond refinery. He was a member of the Sailors Union of the Pacific.
Cole is survived by his wife, Annie; three daughters, Sharon Cole and Carolyn Cole, both of Calistoga and Mary Cole of San Rafael; two sisters, Jessie Rutledge of St. Louis, Mo., and Clara Tooke of Piedmont, Mo. and two brothers, Harry Cole of Springfield, Mo., and Paul Cole, also of Piedmont.
The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Eversol Mortuary in Ukiah.
The family prefers memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.

A Death Notice in the May 12th paper adds that interment was in Ukiah Catholic Cemetery.
