JOSEPH W. GLASER, Prominent Realtor, Dies in San Anselmo
Joseph William Glaser Sr., 59, prominent San Anselmo realtor, and a resident of that town for 30 years, died at his home Wednesday following a week’s illness.
Glaser had been in the hardware business in San Francisco, but retired in 1920. He then was associated with the Lang Realty Co. in San Anselmo, where he had been for the last 10 years. A very active man, he was president of the San Anselmo Townsend Club and a member of the Fairfax Lodge, O. E. S.; San Rafael Pyramid, A. E. O. S.; Golden Gate Parlor N. S. G. W.; Mira Monte Camp, Woodmen of the World; S. F. Grove, U. A. O. D., Sr.; past president of the North Beach Merchants Assn.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. May Glaser, a son, Joseph Wm. Jr., two daughters, Mrs. Aileen Miehle and Mrs. Sadie Adams; two brothers, Julius and Arthur Glaser and three sisters, Mrs. Carrie Wessell, Mrs. Lulu Babkirk and Mrs. Rose Becker. He was a native of San Francisco.
Friends are invited to attend the funeral Friday, May 17, at 10 a.m., from the chapel of Jenness and McElroy. Inurnment Woodlawn Cemetery.
