An Old Resident Dies Last Week

Last Wednesday Angelo Soldavini, aged 55 years, an old and respected resident of this city and of the county, died a his home on C street near second. Deceased had been ailing for some time past and when the end came it was not unexpected. The funeal was largely attended by many friends of the deceased and his family. The floral offerings were many and beautiful.

At St. Raphael’s church a solemn requiem high mass was celebrated by Father Eagan. The interment followed at Mt. Olivet.

Angelo Soldavini leaves a large grown up family, all residents of this city. He had lived here over twenty five years and was very well known. For many years he owned hay presses and had gangs of men busy in the haying season on the different ranches. In this way he established a wide acquaintance throughout the county. Some years ago he met with an accident and was compelled to retire from business.
