The funeral of M. The body was followed to the church from his late home on B Street by a long line of carriages, containing friends and relatives.

After the services at the church the funeral cortege proceeded out Petaluma avenue to Mt. Olivet cemetery where the interment took place.

Deceased was seventy-four years of age and came to this city when it was a small hamlet. Here his family was raised and here a few years ago his wife died. A large number of children survive him. They are J. W., M. F., John, P. F., and Miss Lulu Cochrane and Mrs. William Byrnes and ____.

He was a large powerful man and was enjoying splendid health up to the time that his wife died. From that time, however, he commenced to fail. He was large hearted and loyal and many friends join with the family in mourning his death.
