OLIVER CHARLES STINE

A memorial service for Oliver Charles Stine of Redding, a former Marin resident who lived here for almost 20 years, will be held May 28 at 3 p.m. at the Madronia Cemetery, Saratoga.

Stine died May 8 at a Redding area hospital following a short illness. He was 68.

He was born and raised in San Francisco. He attended Stanford University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business.

He served in the Army during World War II and was stationed in the Pacific.

Stine worked for 20 years as passenger sales manager for Pan American Airways, based in San Francisco.

He moved to Marin in 1949 and lived here until 1966. He then moved to Oregon and lived there four years. In 1970, he moved to Redding.

He was retired.

He is survived by his daughter, Anne Stine of Kentfield, and a brother, John Stine of San Francisco.

Burial will be at Madronia Cemetery.

The family requests memorial donations to the National Parks and Conservation Association, Washington D.C.
