NELLIE SNOW

Nellie Snow, a longtime Sausalito resident, died Saturday at a local convalescent hospital after a lengthy illness. She was 82.

A native of Petaluma, she married Myrl M. Snow in 1915 and they settled in Sausalito. Her husband, who died in 1969, had worked many years for the Northwestern Pacific Railroad.

Mrs. Snow had returned to Petaluma two years ago and had made her home in a convalescent hospital. She was a 50-year life member of the Order of Eastern Star, Mill Valley chapter.

Her sons, Myrl M. Snow Jr. and Verlyn Ericson, preceded her in death.

She is survived by four sisters, Margaret Sweetman, Anna Mead and Evelyn Veronda of Petaluma and Mathilda Bettencourt of Larkspur; three brothers, John Duncan of Cotati, George Duncan of Tomales and Sam Duncan of Reno, Nev.; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be held Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at the Parent Funeral Chapel, Petaluma. Private burial will be at Cypress Hill Memorial Park.
