RONALD V. BEGG
A funeral for Ronald V. Begg of San Anselmo, a Marin resident for more than 15 years, will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Chapel of the Hills mortuary in San Anselmo.
Begg died Tuesday at a San Francisco hospital following a lengthy illness. He was 56.
He was born in North Dakota and moved to Montana as a youngster. He served as a pilot during World War II in the Pacific Theater.
He moved to Washington state in 1961 with his wife, Alene Begg. The couple owned a business there and then moved to Main in 1963.
Begg earned a degree in accounting from Golden Gate University and was a self-employed certified public accountant. He also owned Laundromats in San Francisco.
He was a member of Fairfax Lodge No. 556 of the Free and Accepted Masons and also was a member of the Kalispell Elks Club.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Dennis R. Begg of Pittsburg, Contra Costa County, Terry L. Garcia of Eureka and Keith D. Begg of Hawaii; two brothers, George M. Begg of Kalispell and F. D. Begg of Ross; a sister, Lois Bondurant of Polson, Mont.; and two grandchildren.
Burial will be at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery in San Rafael.
Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m.
The family prefers memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
