CARRIE R. TURRENTINE
A Mass of Christian Burial for Carrie R. Turrentine, a native and lifetime resident of Sausalito, will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Star of the Sea Church.
Mrs. Turrentine died in her home Monday following a long illness. She was 85.
She was a member of S.P.R.S.I. and U.P.P.E.C. (two Portugese (sic) community organizations), the Native Daughters of the Golden West – Seapoint Parlor and the Star of the Sea W omen’s Guild.
Mrs. Turrentine is survived by her daughter, June Brusati of San Rafael; one son, Mervin “Bro” Phillips; two sisters, Marie Souza of Sausalito and Delores Rosa of San Francisco and two grandchildren.
Friends may call for visitation at Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael until 5 p.m. Wednesday.
The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Star of the Sea Church in Sausalito.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that she was the wife of the late Frank Turrentine, and grandmother of Lance and Melodie Phillips. Interment in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
