Pioneer Lady Fatally Burned
Mrs. E. Elphick, wife of John Elphick of Bolinas, died at Hund’s sanitarium on Tuesday. She was making tea at her home when her apron caught fire and she was badly burned before the fire was extinguished. As there was no medical aid at Bolinas she was brought to the sanitarium in Crane & Langford’s auto, but she lived only twenty minutes after reaching the sanitarium.
Mrs. Elphick was 70 years of age, was a native of Ireland, and had been a resident of Bolinas for over 40 years.
The burial will take place at Bolinas tomorrow.
