MATTHEW RAFFAEL
A memorial service for Matthew Raffael, 12-year resident of San Geronimo, will be held Saturday at noon at Roy’s Redwoods in San Geronimo.
Raffael was killed May 17 in a car accident in Reno. He was 19.
He was born in San Francisco and moved to Marin about 12 years ago. He went to grade school in Marin and graduated from School Within a School, an alternative high school connected with Sir Francis Drake High School in San Anselmo.
He was working at a couple of ski resorts in the Lake Tahoe area.
Raffael is survived by his parents, Joseph and Judy Raffael of San Geronimo; two brothers, Robert Raffael and Reuben Raffael, both of San Geronimo; and a sister, Rachel Raffael.
