ANDREW G. SWANSON

A memorial service for Andrew George Swanson, 78, of Sonoma, retired proprietor of the Fixit Shop in Larkspur, was held May 22 at Temple Lodge No. 14, Free and Accepted Masons, Sonoma.

Swanson died May 16 at Sonoma Valley Hospital after a long illness.

Swanson was a native of San Francisco who was educated in Oakland schools. During World War II he worked at the Army Port of Embarcation in Emeryville, whee he became the highest ranking civilian employee.

He recently had received his 50-year membership pin from Temple Lodge No. 14. He had moved to Sonoma after his retirement in 1970.

Surviving are his wife, Helen W. Swanson; a son, Andrew D. Swanson of Houston; a daughter, Bette Ann Conrad of Middletown, Lake County; and two sisters, Eleanor Radonich of San Jose and Edna Mae Smith of San Leandro.
