EUGENE ZUNINO of Novato Dies

Eugene Zunino, a resident of Novato for many years and a maintenance man with the Marin County roads department since 1934, died unexpectedly in his sleep early today, apparently from a heart attack. He was 50.

Zunino had resided with his mother, Mrs. Asunta Zunino, at the family home at Delong and Reichert avenues.

Besides his mother, he is survived by three brothers and two sisters, Antone Zunino of Petaluma, Leo and Julius Zunino of Novato, Mrs. Anna Crowley of Petaluma, and Mrs. Asunta Perada of Daly City. His father, Angelo Zunino, died two years ago this month.

Funeral arrangements are pending at the Redwood Chapel funeral home, Novato.

A Death Notice in the January 27th paper adds that he was a member of Novato Grove 113, 7, UOD; a native of Italy, age 51 years. Funeral services Wednesday, Jan. 28, at Our Lady of Loretto Church, Novato, 9 a.m. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery, San Rafael.

The CA Death Index says Eugene Barthelmess Zunino was born October 28, 1907; his mother’s maiden name was Pesce.
