MIGNONNE E. GANDE
At her request no services were held for Mignonne E. “Pinkie” Gande of Kentfield.
Mrs. Gande died in her home Saturday following an illness.
A native of Texas, Mrs. Gande had been a Marin resident, living in both San Anselmo and Kentfield, for almost 40 years.
The daughter of the founder of the first American newspaper in China, Mrs. Gande spent most of her youth in that country.
She is survived by her daughter, Virginia Falge of Mill Valley; one son, William M. Gande Jr. of San Rafael; her twin sister, Virginia E. “Bluie” Macrae; and five grandchildren.
The family prefers memorial contributions to the Hospice of Marin.
