WILLIAM RAMBO
William Rambo, 64, of San Rafael, was dead on arrival early today at a ocal hospital following a long illness.
Firemen were summoned to his home at 3:32 a.m.
Rambo was the former president of the Peacock Gap Golf and Country Club.
Arrangements are pending.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Neptune Society of San Francisco for William L. Rambo, a 20-year resident of San Rafael.
Rambo, 64, died Monday.
He was the San Francisco radio representative for the Empire Broadcasting Company, a firm which represented radio stations in San Jose and Sacramento. Prior to that, Rambo worked for KGO-TV for eight years and was employed by radio station KNEW and Kaiser Broadcasting.
He was a former president of the Peacock Gap Golf and County Club.
He is survived by his wife, Laraine Rambo; two sons, William L. Rambo Jr. of San Jose and Thomas Rambo of Ojai; and one granddaughter.
The family has asked that memorial gifts go to the American Cancer Society or the donors’ favorite charities.
