PEGGY S. FISHMAN

Peggy Satz Fishman, a resident of Tiburon since 1966, died Thursday in a San Francisco hospital after a lengthy illness. She was 49.

Mrs. Fishman was born and reared in New Jersey. She was educated at Connecticut College for Women.

At one time, she worked as a research librarian for Radio Free Europe.

She was the wife of Dr. Robert A. Fishman, professor and chairman of the Department of Neurology at the University of California Medical School in San Francisco.

Mrs. Fishman was active in the docent program at the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Mary, Alice and Elizabeth Fishman, all of Tiburon; her mother, Marie Satz of West Orange, N. J.; and her brother, David M. Satz Jr. of South Orange, N.J.

A memorial service will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. at Temple Emanu-El in San Francisco.

The family prefers memorial contributions to the Docent Council of the California Academy of Sciences, the Auxiliary of the University of California hospital, or a favorite charity.
