MARIE F. HALTER
Funeral was held yesterday at the Parent Funeral Home in Petaluma for Marie F. Halter who died Saturday in a local convalescent hospital at the age of 87.
A native of Canton, Obwalden Switzerland, she grew up there and came to the United States 55 years ago, settling first in Santa Rosa and later in Penngrove where she resided 52 years. She moved to Novato three years ago.
She was the wife of the late Josef G. Halter. Surviving are a son, Josef M. Halter, of Foster City; three daughters, Rose M. Grossi and Mary A. Grossi, both of Novato, and Emma Chance of Santa Rosa; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Burial was at Cypress Hill Memorial Park in Petaluma.
