Funeral was conducted Saturday at the Redwood Chapel by the Eastern Star for Catherine R. Henshillwood, former Novato resident, who died last week in a Lodi hospital. She was 57.
A native of Santa Rosa, she grew up there and moved to Novato in 1952. She lived here until 1976 when her husband, Robert K. Henshillwood Sr., was transferred to the Sacramento division of Pacific Gas and Electric Co.
She was a member of the Novato Guild of Sunny Hills and served as president of the Novato Community Hospital Volunteer Service of which she was a charter member.
Mrs. Henshillwood was also a member of the Novato Chapter 609 of the Order of the Eastern Star and a deaconess with the Novato Presbyterian Church.
After moving to Lodi, she joined the Bridgehead Yacht Club in Antioch and was also a life member of the Lodi Memorial Hospital Association.
Besides her husband she is survived by a son, Robert K. Henshillwood Jr., of Sacramento; a daughter, Cathy Tucker of Lodi; a brother, Frederick Johnson of San Luis Obispo, and four grandchildren.
Inurnment was at Santa Rosa Memorial Park in Santa Rosa. The family prefers memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
