WILLIAM S. PETTEY
Private family funeral has been held at Keaton’s Chapel of Marin for William S. Pettey who died Sunday at a local convalescent hospital at the age of 82.
A retired self-employed logger, Pettey was born and reared in Prairie, Washington and moved as a young man to British Columbia where he worked many years.
He moved to Novato in 1953 and operated a vending machine business. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Courtney, B.C.
Surviving are his wife, Blanche Pettey of Novato; a daughter, Margaret McNerney of Novato; a son, William Pettey of Sonoma; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Burial was at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery in San Rafael.
