NANCY M. HUNTER

Nancy M. Hunter, a 13-year-old student at Sinaloa Junior High School. was found dead in bed unexpectedly at her Novato home early Thursday morning.

A county coroner’s deputy said that her death is believed due to natural causes.

A native of Daly City, she moved to Marin County and settled in San Rafael in 1968 and then moved to Novato in 1975.

She was a member of Girl Scouts of America and belonged to cadet troop 12 in Novato. She was also a member of the Horizons choir Group in Novato.

She is survived by her parents, Donald and Iretta Hunter of Novato; a sister, Christine Hunter of Novato; her paternal grandparents, Mrs. and Mrs. William N. Hunter of San Rafael; and her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald E. Best of Washington.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday in Our Lady of Loretto Church in Novato, and she will be buried in Bahia Valley Memorial Park Cemetery in Novato.

The rosary will be recited for her at 8 tonight in Keaton’s Chapel of Marin in Novato.

The family prefers that memorial donations be made to the Girl Scouts of America.
