CATHERINE GEARY
A Mass of Christian Burial for Catherine V. Geary of San Rafael will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Raphael’s Church.
Mrs. Geary, 69, died Friday at home after a lengthy illness.
She was born and raised in Vallejo. She graduated as a registered nurse from St. Mary’s Hospital in San Francisco.
She married Harold E. Geary 43 years ago. They moved to San Anselmo more than 40 years ago and later moved to San Rafael. They ran the Bank Pharmacy in Fairfax for many years. She was a past president of the Mother’s Guild of St. Raphael’s.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Stephen Geary of Glenwood and Donald Geary of Cotati; a daughter, Helen Marie Geary of San Rafael; a sister, Anna Murphy of Vallejo; and eight grandchildren.
A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Keaton’s Mortuary, San Rafael. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, San Rafael.
The family prefers memorial contributions to Hospice of Marin, 77 Mark Drive, San Rafael.
