VITO J. TAGLIARENI
A memorial mass was offered Monday at Out Lady of Loretto Church for Vito J. Tagliareni who died unexpectedly Thursday at his home of an apparent heart attack. He was 49.
Tagliareni was a native of New Jersey and attended the University of Idaho where he received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
He came to California as an officer in the Air Force in 1952 and was stationed at Hamilton Air Force Base. After his discharge in 1954 he continued to live in Marin County for most of the next 24 years.
He was employed by the Army Corps of Engineers for several years and for the past 10 years as an executive at Taubman and Co. Inc., a Hayward shopping center development firm. He made his home at 195 Crest Road in the Black Point area.
Surviving are his wife, Paula, a kindergarten teacher at Hamilton School; three sons, David, Paul and Daniel Tagliareni, all of Novato; and a brother, Anthony Tagliareni of New Jersey.
Memorial contributions to the American Heart Association, spiritual bouquets or donations to a favorite charity are preferred by the family.
