PATRICK J. OWENS
Private funeral for Patrick J. Owens of Novato was held Sunday at Keaton’s Chapel of Marin.
Owens, 53, died Friday night after suffering an apparent heart attack.
Owens was present Friday night at the high school varsity baseball game between Reno (Nevada) and San Rafael at Albert Field in San Rafael. His son Thomas is head coach of the Reno team.
When Owens failed to return home after the game, his wife Gloria and a daughter went looking for him and shortly after midnight found him dead in his car which was parked near Albert Field.
Owens had a heart condition for about 10 years.
A native of Pennsylvania, Owens lived in Novato for many years. He resided at 821 Las Palmas Avenue.
Owens was service salesman for Bianco Cadillac car agency in Corte Madera. He had been a Bianco employee for about 20 years.
Survivors include his wife Gloria and daughters Catherine and Geraldine Owens and Patricia Utu, all of Novato; a son Thomas of Reno; four sisters; and four grandchildren.
Burial was in Bahia Valley Memorial Park.
The family prefers contributions to the Heart Fund.
