CLARE A. COLEMAN Funeral Tomorrow
Funeral services for Mrs. Clare A. Coleman, daughter of a pioneer San Rafael family, will be held at Keaton’s Mortuary at 11 a.m. tomorrow. Inurnment will be private.
Mrs. Coleman died of a heart attack Saturday at her home. She had been under a physician’s care for a heart condition several years, but her death was not expected. She was 67.
She lived at 200 Santa Margarita drive about 20 years before moving to a smaller home at 115 Jewell street four months ago. Her parents’ home had been on Fifth avenue near E street.
Mrs. Coleman was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James W. Cochrane. Cochrane became district attorney of Marin County at the age of 24 and after one term went into private law practice in San Francisco.
Mrs. Coleman attended schools in San Rafael before going to Mills College. She trained as a nurse at Stanford University Hospital. She was employed by Dr. Rafael G. Dufficy Sr. 18 years until his death, then she worked six years for Dr. Lloyd G. Tyler.
Survivors are her husband, Cecil Coleman, a clerk at the United Market in San Rafael, and two sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Barbier of San Rafael and Mrs. Lenore Gertrude Halsey of San Anselmo.
