Rites Tomorrow For Ex-Marinite

Funeral services will be held tomorrow for Walter J. (Jim) Honey of Sonoma, father of Mrs. Grace Bloom of Novato and for 10 years a Hamilton Air Force Base carpenter.

Honey, 63, died at a Sonoma hospital Thursday after a long illness. He was a native of London, England.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. tomorrow under the auspices of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1943 of Sonoma, at the Mission Chapel Mortuary, 525 West Napa street, Sonoma.

Honey worked at Hamilton until 1942, then served a short while as a California Highway Patrol Officer in Sonoma County, was an assistant fire chief in Boyes Hot Springs, and before his illness, was a security officer at Sonoma State Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Genevieve; two sons and four daughters, 16 grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.

A Death Notice in the same paper names all the children: Mrs. Grace Bloom of Novato, Joseph Honey of Vallejo, George Honey of Boyes Springs, and Mrs. Betty Bloom of Los Angeles, Mrs. Gladys Harper of Santa Rosa and Mrs. Patricia Colman of Santa Rosa; he was also survived by his stepmother, Mrs. Hilda Honey of Santa Rosa.
