Final Rites Held For Shark Victim
Funeral services for Albert Kogler, 18-year-old son of Corte Madera Town Councilman Albert E. Kogler, were to be held this afternoon at Halsted and Co., San Francisco, with Rev. William E. Baker of San Francisco’s Grace Lutheran Church officiating. Committal was to be in Cypress Lawn Cemetery, Colma.
Young Kogler, a San Francisco State College student, was attacked by a shark Thursday while swimming off Baker’s Beach, San Francisco. His companion, Shirley O’Neill, heroically pulled him ashore, but he died later at Letterman Army Hospital.
His mother, Mrs. Harold McGrath, resides in San Francisco.
