ROBERT G. WAITE
Funeral was held t his afternoon at Keaton’s Chapel of Marin for Robert G. Waite, who died unexpectedly Saturday at his home following an apparent heart attack. He was 55.
A native of Nebraska, Waite had been a marine electrician for 28 years for Dahl-Beck Electric in San Francisco. He made his home at 457 Wilson Avenue.
He served in the Navy during World War II and was a member of the U.S. Submarine Veterans of World War II. He was also a member of All Saints Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his wife, Jean, of Novato; two daughters, Diane Schekenbach of Redding and Beverly J. Waite of Westhaven, Conn.; a son, Steven L. Waite of Crockett; his mother, Edith Johnson of Nebraska; a brother, Bill Waite, and a sister, Alta Martin, both of Nebraska; four grandchildren and one great-grandson. He was also the father of the late Michael C. Waite.
Burial was at Mission City Memorial Cemetery in Santa Clara. Memorial contributions to All Saints Lutheran Church are preferred by the family.
